As part of Hilton Worldwide's sustainability efforts, we will offset carbon emissions on your behalf, when you book any meeting or event at over 70 of our hotels and resorts across Asia Pacific. This comes at no cost to you, and directly supports carbon reduction projects across Asia Pacific.

Tasmanian Native Forest Protection Project

Location: Central Highlands, Tasmania, Australia
Emissions Prevented: 90,000 tonnes of CO2e per year. That's 176,529 light bulbs lit for 1 year.
Aim: This project minimises greenhouse gas emissions by preventing the release of carbon stored in the trees, which would otherwise occur through the logging, processing and use of the timber.
Benefits: Helps to protect and restore Tasmania’s valuable native forests, which provide a habitat for a number of endangered species including the wedge-tailed eagle, spotted quoll and the iconic Tasmanian devil.

Creates new employment opportunities in the forestry sector, and ecotourism opportunities through the enhancement of the landscape.

Provides income diversification and stabilisation for local landowners, thereby enabling them to set the land aside for conservation purposes only.

What is the Hilton Worldwide Clean Air Program?

The Hilton Worldwide Clean Air Program aims to reduce the environmental impact of meetings and events held at more than 70 participating Hilton Worldwide properties in Asia Pacific. We use our LightStay system to calculate the carbon emissions generated by all meetings and events and purchase carbon credits to offset these. The credits fund different projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. How does the Program work?

When organisations or individuals hold any meeting or event at participating Hilton Worldwide properties in Asia Pacific, we measure the carbon emissions generated as a result of the meeting or event, then purchase carbon credits on your behalf, at no extra cost to you. This funds climate-friendly projects in the region that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Offer is subject to the details herein and the hotel’s booking terms and conditions. Offer is subject to availability at participating hotels and resorts in Asia Pacific. For a list of participating properties, please visit www.HiltonWorldwideMeetingsAPAC.com. Offer is valid for new bookings only. Event must be booked between 1 April 2013 and 30 June 2013 and commenced between 1 April 2013 and 31 December 2013. Event requires a minimum booking of 20 rooms. Whether to book an event is at the discretion of the hotel and is subject to availability and other factors at time of booking. Each hotel has a policy to address terms and conditions of holding an event at their property; please inquire with hotel prior to booking for complete details.  Blackout dates may apply. All package elements may not be available at all hotels; please check with your hotel prior to booking to determine availability. 

A contract must be signed with the hotel to govern the terms of the event. The details of the event, including identification of the Event Planner, selection of package benefits (“Package Benefits”) must be described in the contract. Package Benefits may be chosen as follows:

The room minimum must be met in conjunction with one booking; no combination of bookings is permitted.  Benefits are awarded only when a contract is executed and all deposit and payment terms are met. If the event occurs at a lesser or higher value than booked, only the actualized value will be considered to determine the number of benefits to be awarded. Benefits must be used during the contracted event and must be allocated to a member of the group by the Booker.

The terms of this offer shall not be interpreted to modify the terms of the Contract.  Only the Event Planner is eligible to earn Points and Miles and the Event Bonus.  Earning of Points and Miles will only be awarded as specified in the contract and in conjunction with all other Event Bonus Program terms and conditions.  Hilton HHonors Event Bonus is awarded at the discretion of the hotel.  Event Bonus may not be awarded on all events.  Event Bonus Points are awarded after completion of the event, checkout of the group and final bill settlement.

Hilton HHonors Event Planner Bonus Points

Double HHonors Event Planner Points is applicable when the Event planner opts for “Earning Option 2” (earn 1.5 HHonors Bonus Points with every US$1 spent, up to 100,000 points) as outlined on http://hhonors3.hilton.com/en/events/programme/index.html. If the Event Planner books an event for 80 room nights or more, and over Group Value Date periods (as defined on respective hotel’s webpage), the Event Planner is also entitled to receive 125,000 HHonors Event Planner Bonus Points. To receive HHonors Event Planner Bonus Points, the Event Planner must fully complete and submit the Meeting Planner Bonus Acknowledgement Form, which requires the Event Planner’s name and details about the Event. The Event Planner identified in the Meeting Planner Bonus Acknowledgement Form is the only person entitled to receive the Event Planner Bonus Points. Points will be deposited into Event Planner’s HHonors account 6-8 weeks after completion of and full payment for event, and verification of entitlement to points.
